Elder & Ash has been creating brands and designing boutique hospitality projects in celebrated locations for years. Our boutique studio focuses on creating fresh new hospitality brands with a strong storytelling perspective. We are located in Newburyport, Massachusetts and Brooklyn, New York. As a small studio, with only a half dozen designers, we select our work carefully so that we can dedicate our full attention and focus to the projects in front of us. We pride ourselves on delivering on budget, on time and on point designs and brands that resonate with experienced, focused travelers. Because we have been involved with the hospitality industry on both the design and operations side of the business, we understand that it’s not good enough to simply install a new FF&E package…it’s paramount that every piece of a new design relates to the brand story that we are trying to tell. We are passionate about creating experiences for travelers and we believe that is reflected in our designs.

From concept to completion, the telling of each property's story is woven through architecture, interior design, music, lighting, programming and people.  If all of these components are on point and work together we have achieved our goal of delivering experience rather than product.
